Witness Park and Prayer Tower
The Prayer Tower, made of Indiana limestone with a Vermont slate roof, features
a chapel and a 75-foot tower with four Paccard bells from France. It was
dedicated to the city April 1992. The tower is surrounded with beautiful
landscaping and a gurgling fountain and life-size bronze showing Jesus washing
Peter's feet. This small chapel is open to the public and inside has three long
pews and a prayer altar. Four stained glass windows depict various scenes of the
life of Jesus. The bells chime and play hymns on the hour.

We are excited to showcase the last Shelby car purchased by the legendary local icon, Carroll Shelby. This remarkable vehicle has been refurbished by the talented students at the Carroll Shelby Automotive Department at NTCC and is now on display for all to admire.
At the Northeast Texas Heritage Museum, you can not only see the last Shelby Car purchased by Carroll Shelby, but you can get a glimpse in the local history of Pittsburg. You will see a historic Cotton Belt railroad depot built in 1901, take a glimpse into the tools, technologies, and inventions of the 1800s and early 1900s. Explore fascinating exhibits, including an old fire truck, artwork from local artists, the Ezekiel Airship, and of course, the original Carroll Shelby car.

BlackBerry Pines - Disc & Camp
BlackBerry Pines is a getaway Disc and Camping retreat, on 27 acres of Lush East Texas Piney Woods
Super wooded technical course. The property has quite a bit of elevation change (20”-50’ up and down). Course has Long and Short Turf tee pads. Players don’t need a lot of distance off the tee. But accuracy is premium. Slower speed discs are your friend at BlackBerry Pines. Camping is primitive with plenty of places to pitch a tent. The course does have a port-a- potty that is cleaned out weekly. There is a creek that runs through the course that comes into play on holes 13,14,15. Hole 18 has a little pond that is 8’ deep. Every hole has been carved out of the woods. With 50’ canopy ceilings on most holes. This is a Private pay to play course that is available to play every day of the year.

Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Museum and Depot
Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Depot Museum
The Northeast Texas Rural Heritage Center and Museum is a museum in Pittsburg, Texas. It consists of two separate facilities, the Depot Museum and the Farmstead Museum. The Depot Museum is located in a former Cotton Belt railroad depot that was built in 1901. The Depot Museum offers visitors the experience of discovering what tools, technologies, and inventions were made and utilized were made and utilized in the 1800's and early 1900's. It also features an old fire truck, artwork from local artists, the Ezekiel Airship and an original Carrol Shelby car. At the Farmstead, visitors will experience the oldest home in our county that was moved to the site and reconstructed with the original foundation material. We have something for everyone!
